Huaneng Shandong Ruyi Pakistan Sahiwal 2x660MW Thermal Power Plant Project
Located in Sahiwal, Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan, it is a key project of the "Belt and Road" China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. Henan D.R. undertook the #4 bid section chimney and cooling tower project, including two cooling towers, a 180m high chimney, circulating water pump room and auxiliary civil structure. The project commenced on July 31, 2015, and was officially completed to put into production on July 31, 2017. At that time, it is the first green coal-fired power plant put into operation in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, with the largest installed capacity, the most advanced technology, the best environmental protection indicators and the fastest construction speed in Pakistan. This plant has created a new record for the construction of China's overseas coal-fired power plant, written a new chapter of the "Sahiwal Speed" and built the "Sahiwal Quality". It has been praised by the Pakistani government as "A Miracle in the History of Pakistan Power Construction". People’s Daily and Pakistan newspaper Dawn also speak highly of this project. Since the start of the project, it has won a total of more than 100 awards at the provincial level or above in China and Pakistan, such as the "Outstanding Contribution Award" issued by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, 2018-2019 First Batch National High Quality Project Gold Award. It became the first overseas project at the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor to win the award.
