On September 19 in Xilinhot, Inner Mongolia, the last reinforced ring steel triangular lattice member of the IMEIGC Xilin Haote Thermal Power Steel Structure Indirect Air-cooled Tower constructed by Henan D.R. is put in place, which marks the steel structure construction of the main body of the steel tower has been successfully installed. At the same time, the 3 # unit is successfully connected to the grid and became the earliest project to be put into use among the first batch of steel towers in China.

The IMEIGC Xilin Haote Thermal Power Steel Structure Indirect Air-cooled Tower is currently the world’s largest all-steel structure indirect air-cooled tower. The tower is181m high and the diameter of the body is 96m. It is constructed under the development philosophy of prefabricated structure, green building and circular economy. Standing on the land of Inner Mongolia, it shows the latest achievements of Henan D.R.’s chimney & cooling tower industry, and also records the glorious years of a group of pioneers in the history of construction.
