On March 19th, local time in Turkey, as the last concrete slab of #3 Eurosilo and #1 cooling tower cylinder wall was cast in place, the main structure of the three Eurosiloes #1 cooling tower were all completed as scheduled. Fang Jie, Director of Hunutlu Power Plant, Li Xiaofeng, Secretary of the Party Working Committee, Zheng Hui, Project Director of OE (Supervision) Unit, Miao Mengxiao, Deputy Project Director of General contractor and other leaders witnessed the realization of this important node.
The #1 cooling tower constructed by Henan D.R. is designed by Harmon (Netherlands). The tower is tall and thin, with a height of 175m, which is about 25m higher than the conventional cooling tower. In addition, there is a glass fiber reinforced plastic flue with a diameter of 7.5m passing the middle of the tube wall to the central shaft. It is a natural ventilation seawater circulation cooling tower that combines chimney and cooling tower together. The construction of the #1 cooling tower is very difficult and is also one of the "hardest nuts" to crack.
This Eurosilo is built with the largest single reserves of the same type currently under construction at home and abroad. The smooth completion of the main structure of the #3 Eurosilo cylinder wall has benefited from the self-lifting system of the all-steel large formwork triangular truss operating platform independently developed by Henan D.R.. This platform self-lifting system condenses the wisdom of leaders and professional and technical personnel at all levels, and shows D.R.'s commitment in building its reputation and brand with science and technology. The successful completion of the Eurosiloes also marks the successful implementation of this system throughout the entire process.
In 2020, because of the COVID-2019 pandemic, the construction of the project has suffered a lot. Some workers cannot arrive in the site on time, which will have a bad impact on the progress of the cooling tower and the Eurosilo. In order to ensure the normal construction of the project, under the guidance of the leadership of Henan D.R. and the coordination between Overseas Business Department and the Second Project Management Department, a total of 135 workers matched straight to the construction site in three times so that the main structure of the cooling tower and the Eurosilo cylinder wall can be completed as scheduled.
In order to ensure the safety of Chinese workers, under general arrangement of the owner and the main contractor, the project department has strictly implemented the “Routine control measures after reopening”. That is, the local people can emerge from restrictions, the Chinese workers still need to follow quarantine measures and the Chinese and local workers shall be split in different working areas. In February 2021, the Hunutru project invited Turkish medical staff to the project site to inoculate workers against COVID-2019 pandemic. At present, all Chinese workers have been vaccinated against the pandemic.
The year 2021 is a critical year for Turkey Hunutru Project Department to complete the construction node. After a full evaluation of the construction characteristics of local and Chinese workers, the project depart decides to hire local workers to the greatest extent possible to save costs, and to let the Chinese workers complete the key construction node as scheduled. After the Spring Festival, the project department has managed to arrange 57 Chinese workers to go to the site in four times. Next, the project team will make persistent efforts to fully implement detailed and routine epidemic prevention and control measures, strengthen refined and standardized management, strictly control safety and quality, and ensure the successful completion of subsequent tasks.
