On May 7, EASY PREFABRICATED HOMES (PRIVATE) LIMITED and the Pakistan Gilgit-Baltistan Provincial Government signed a letter of intent in Islamabad to cooperate in projects like low-cost housing, government new and expansion projects, hotels, new airport, etc.. On November 1, 2020, the Pakistani government made the Gilgit-Baltistan Autonomous Region a new province of Pakistan. Four-hundred meters away from the China-Pakistan Border Corridor, the Gilgit-Baltistan Province is located in the northern part of Pakistan-controlled Kashmir (the northernmost area in Pakistan). It is rich in natural gas, mining and agricultural resources. Close to Xinjiang, Gilgit-Baltistan Province is a core area of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. The Basha Dam and other China-Pakistan Economic Corridor projects are under construction. In particular, the province is located at the intersection of Karakoram, Hindu Kush and Himalayas. With charming natural scenery, it has a great potential for tourism development. The Pakistani government has announced a package of investment plans to vigorously develop its economy.
