At 12:12 on May 8th, local time in Turkey, witnessed by leaders such as Fang Jie, Manager of Turkey Hunutlu Power Plant, Li Xiaofeng, Secretary of the Party Working Committee, Zheng Hui, Project Director of OE Unit, and Wang Aiming, General Manager of the main contractor, the trestle truss on the top of No. 3 Eurosilo, which was constructed by the Second Project Management Department of Henan D.R., was successfully hoisted into place. From 10:17 am on April 28, it took ten days for the three pieces of truss of BC-4 coal conveying trestle to be put into place.
The top of the Eurosilo is 41.065m high. The BC-4 coal conveying trestle truss is located at the mid-span of the ring beam on the top of the Eurosilo. The three Eurosiloes divide the BC-4 coal conveying trestle truss into 3 sections. The truss needs to be assembled on the ground and then hoisted in three times. With a span of 55.12 meters, a single steel truss is 8 meters wide, 12.325 meters high, and 270 tons in weight. After the optimization of weight, the lifting weight of single unit is 212 tons. It is the single lifting operation project with the largest volume, span and weight in the whole plant, and also one of the most difficult hoisting projects in the whole plant.
This hoisting project has attracted great attention from the owner, OE and the main contractor. Under the support and coordination of Henan D.R., and considering the quality, schedule and safety of the hoisting work and the machinery and equipment leasing condition in Turkey, the Turkey Hunutlu power plant project department invited the Overseas Business Department, Technical Center, Steel Structure Company, and domestic industry experts and the local professional hoisting company to participated in several seminars to optimize the hoisting. Finally, two 650-ton crawler cranes were chosen to complete the work. With the cooperation between Chinese workers and the local hoisting company, the hoisting work was successfully completed.
Working together, staff of the project department were strict in the acceptance of each working procedure from truss assembly to truss hoisting in place. The hoisting of the BC-4 coal conveying trestle has won great praise and commendation from the owner, OE and CPI.
