A Meeting on Multi-Layer Fabricated Steel Frame Structure and Prestressed Hollow Slab Non-Composite Floor Technology Was Successfully Held

On December 27, a special meeting on multi-layer fabricated steel frame (support) structure and prestressed hollow slab non-composite floor technology under 8.0-degree seismic fortification intensity, which is independently developed by Henan D.R., was successfully held at the headquarter of Henan D.R..


Seven well-known experts including Xiao Xuwen, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Wang Lijun, a national survey and design master and steel structure expert, and Wang Xiaofeng, a well-known expert in prestress technology, were invited to attend the demonstration meeting. Zhu Jianming, General Manager of Henan D.R., Wang Qingwei, Deputy Chairman and Director of the Technical Committee, Du Hongquan, Deputy General Manager, Su Qunshan, Chief Engineer, Zhang Yongju, Executive Director of Henan Fair-Faced Concrete Construction Technology Co., Ltd. etc., and Dr. Chen Dongzhao from Henan University of Technology (a unit entrusted to test this technology) participated in the demonstration meeting. The meeting was presided over by Chen Shichuan, Chairman of Shenzhen Hechuang Science and Technology Consulting Co., Ltd., a third-party evaluation agency.


At the meeting, Zhu Jianming, General Manager of Henan D.R., first gave a warm welcome speech on behalf of the technology research and development unit. In his speech, Mr. Zhu briefly introduced the technological innovation of Henan D.R. and innovative ideas for solving on-site practical problems through scientific and technological research and development in the next step. At the same time, he encouraged experts and leaders present at the meeting to speak freely and give advice to help successful demonstration of this specific technique.


Su Qunshan, Chief Engineer of Henan D.R., systematically reported the project source, background, summary, analysis, test result, and application prospects of the technology on behalf of the R&D team. Mr. Su emphasized that the technology was based on Henan D.R.’s high-quality steel structure products and internationally advanced EPP prestressed hollow core slab products. Although it is challenging to conduct the multi-layer fabricated steel frame structures, especially prestressed hollow slabs non-composite floor technology research under 8.0-degree seismic fortification intensity, whether in terms of technical indicators or economic indicators, the result means a lot for the development of multi-layer fabricated steel structures, especially multi-layer residential buildings, high-quality rural houses, etc..


Dr. Chen Dongzhao gave a detailed report on the analysis of seismic performance and pointed out that the technology met the requirements of China's 8.0-magnitude seismic fortification intensity based on assumed computational analysis of two kinds of floors under major and minor earthquakes, seismic performance analysis of floor node, and analysis of floor resistant to progressive collapse. At the same time, he emphasized that this technology mainly featured effectively reduced floor weight, which can effectively mitigate the damage of earthquake. In addition, the technology successfully draws on the relevant experience of developed countries such as Europe and the United States, and its comprehensive performance is more favorable.


Wang Qingwei, Deputy Chairman of Henan D.R. and Director of the Technical Committee, gave more information on the key technologies of the project. Mr. Wang pointed out that leaders at all levels of Henan D.R. had attached great importance to the technology and the R&D team had consulted relevant experts many times to complete the calculations and design preparations of the key technologies. He sincerely invited the experts to give in-depth demonstration and guidance on this technology to promote the smooth progress of the demonstration project.


Subsequently, the demonstration meeting entered the "expert inquiry and suggestion stage". Led by academician Xiao Xuwen, the experts gave comprehensive, detailed and in-depth comments on the technology. While fully affirming the technology, they also gave valuable suggestions for the next demonstration and application.


In the end, the experts agreed that the “section steel combination column + H-type steel beam + prestressed hollow slab non-composite floor" multi-layer fabricated steel frame structure system developed by Henna D.R. had met technical requirement for building with non-exposed beam and non-exposed structure. Through scientific structural measures, the technology can meet the requirement for 8.0-degree seismic fortification intensity. With a high degree of assembly, the technical achievements can speed up construction, save material, and effectively reduce carbon emissions. With significant comprehensive benefits, the technology has a broad application prospect. All the experts agreed to pass the demonstration and suggested to accelerate the promotion and application.
