At 9:18 on October 16, the 2# Cooling Tower of China Power Investment Baiyinhua Pit Head Power Plant Project constructed by the Chimney & Cooling Tower Branch of Henan D.R. Construction Group was topped out successfully. The General Manager Zhang Jianyu and the Deputy General Manager Guo Zhongkai of Baiyinhua Pit Head Power Plant, the Director Cui Suanzheng and Deputy Director Zhu Yuchun of Mucheng Supervision Company, the Manager Sun Jiahua of Shanghai Nengke Project and heads of all departments were invited to attend the top out ceremony. The ceremony was presided by Sun Lei, the project manager of Baiyinhua Pit Head Power Plant.
This Cooling Tower project is different from previous projects. Compared with ordinary cooling towers, there are 88 full-length convex ribs in the meridian direction outside the air duct. The difficulties of construction are significantly increased from the positioning of ribs to the design and installation of the formwork system and other processes. Since September 2020 at the beginning of the construction, the project department has been strictly implementing construction concept of "model guide, highlights display, exquisite workmanship and creating excellent projects" of the group and subsidiary company, in the context of new technology, new environment, new height, and new challenges. With the support and help of leaders, the project department has overcome the impact of a series of adverse factors, such as COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control, urgent plan, unavailability of road, water, and electricity in the early stage, solved the technical problems including the combined erection of the air duct formwork of the ribbed cooling tower and the precise positioning of the vertical ribs of the air duct of the large indirect cooling tower, and completed the construction task successfully.
The completed cooling tower has smooth curves, smooth outside with compacted inside and 88 straight and exquisite vertical ribs, which has become a splendid landscape of the beautiful prairie. It once again demonstrates the fine tradition and strength of "Iron-willed Construction Team" and establishes the brand image of the Group Company in the north of China. In the next step, the project team will continue to adhere to the working concept of "standard and refinement", further improve the on-site comprehensive management ability, and strive to achieve the quality goal of winning the "National High Quality Project Award".
