At 15:30 on October 16 local time in Niger, the first hoisting of the main steel structure of air-cooling island in Niger 3000t/d Clinker Cement Line Supporting 30MW Thermal Power Plant Project, which is owned by China-Africa Building Materials Niger Co., Ltd and undertaken by the Second Project Management Department of Henan D.R. Construction Group Company, was started and placed successfully. This is another major milestone achieved since the commencement of the project.
In order to ensure that the hoisting is well proceeded, the Project Department planned ahead of time, made careful arrangements, prepared a special construction plan for the hoisting of air-cooling island in advance, organized analysis seminars several times, made safety and technical clarification to the operators, and implemented potential safety hazard checking and closed management for the hoisting operation area by checking the hoisting mechanical performance, and rechecking the strength of steel wire rope and sling. The good preparation was praised by the Owner.
The successful completion of this hoisting operation marks that the project has officially entered the installation phase. At present, Niger is at the turn of dry and rainy season. The daytime temperature can reach 40 ℃. It is also the season of high incidence of malaria, typhoid fever, and other diseases. Niger project department actively takes various measures to guarantee that the personnel and construction should not be affected.
China Africa Building Materials Niger Cement Plant and Supporting Power Plant Project is the first cement plant investment project of Wangkang Holding Group Co., Ltd. The project has been entitled to "the Belt and Road" project also. The progress of the project is of great concern to the Chinese Embassy in Niger and the Niger government. The supporting power plant is the top priority of the whole project. In subsequent construction, all personnel of the Project Department will make persistent efforts, adhere to the spirit of iron-willed construction team, complete the project construction tasks with high quality, and assist the Group Company to open up new prospects for development in Africa.
