On June 15th, the main steel structure of the Samsung SDIEM Complex 2# Factory Project Section B in Malaysia, constructed by Henan D.R. Construction Group Steel Structure Co., Ltd., was successfully capped.
This project is the first overseas steel structure production and installation project undertaken by Steel Structure Company. It is located in Seremban City, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. It is a new energy battery workshop built by Samsung SDI Malaysia Energy Sdn Bhd, covering an area of 20,943 ㎡. It is an industrial steel structure workshop with three floors above the ground. The project cost is 99.192 million RMB, of which the total amount of steel structure fabrication is about 5,900 tons and the total amount of installation is about 8,500 tons.
In the early stages of the construction, steel components produced domestically were faced with the problems of complex CIDB inspection process and troublesome customs clearance upon arrival in Malaysia, resulting in delays in the transportation of components to the site. The Samsung Project Department of Steel Structure Company in Malaysia has continuously studied relevant overseas laws and regulations, rationalized the process, improved customs clearance efficiency, as well as saved customs clearance costs. During the construction process, despite the tight project schedule, strict management requirements of Samsung, various local resources scarcity, and low labor efficiency, the Project Department overcame numerous difficulties and fulfilled the contract as scheduled, receiving full recognition from Samsung and China Construction Second Engineering Bureau Co. Ltd..
The main steel structure of Samsung SDIEM Complex 2# Factory Project Section B in Malaysia has been successfully capped, accumulating experience for Steel Structure Company to undertake overseas steel structure production and installation projects. Next, Steel Structure Company will actively explore and practice in improving customs clearance efficiency, enhancing overseas project construction capabilities, managing and controlling overseas project costs.
