At 09:16 on December 27, the first hoisting of the indirect air-cooling tower of Zhangye Power Plant 2×1000 MW Unit Expansion Project owned by Gansu Power Investment Group and undertaken by the Industrial Equipment Engineering Branch of Henan D.R. Construction Group Company, was started and placed successfully. The successful achievement of this milestone marks the steady advancement of the group company in the market field of steel structure indirect cooling towers.
Yao Gang, Deputy General Manager of Gansu Power Investment Zhangye Power Plant Co., Ltd., Shan Bin, Project Director of Dahua Group Beijing Zhongdalian Consulting Co., Ltd., Gao Ziqiang, Project Manager of Guangdong Institute of China Energy Engineering Co., Ltd., Han Guangkuo, Project Manager of Jiangsu Shuangliang Cooling System, and Xu Anming, Manager of Industrial Equipment Engineering Branch, were invited to attend the first hoisting ceremony.
The Zhangye Power Plant indirect cooling tower project is independently undertaken by the Industrial Equipment Engineering Branch Company and is the largest ongoing steel tower project in the branch company's construction portfolio. The project features a dual-tower layout, with the tower structure composed of lattice cladding structure, consisting of four parts: "conical body + widening platform + cylindrical body + reinforcement ring". The vertical layout of the tower consists of a lower taper section with 6 layers and an upper straight section with 12 layers, with a tower building height of 190 meters, a base diameter of 120 meters, a top diameter of 88 meters, and a single tower weight of approximately 5590 tons.
